WORKSHOP ON SYSTEM/SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURES (WSSA)
Co-located With
THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
SOFTWARE ENGINEERING RESEARCH AND PRACTICE (SERP)
June 21-24, 2004, Monte Carlo Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
THEME
WORKSHOP
Architecture is the first step in the development of almost any system including software systems. Consequently most of the properties of the final system/software are affected by the architecture and a "good" architecture is one of the most important requirements for a successful system/software. However, designing and developing "good" architectures is an engineering/research problem in itself since the definitions of "good" and of "architectures" are themselves subjective. In this workshop the theory and experience on system/software architectures will be discussed. The topics for the papers include
- systems such as human-based, machines/hardware, and software,
PROGRAM COMMITTEE (Tentative)
PAPERS
-short paper: 1-4 pages, position paper or work-in-progress
-full paper: 5-7 pages, research results or experience
All papers should be in the IEEE format. All papers will be peer-reviewed by the PC members and accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings. Please send the papers with the subject "WSSA" to one of the workshop co-chairs:
