Please note that a full paper is not required, just reasoned answers to a number of issues proposed by the organisers, based on four earlier workshops in the area. We are asking for related "position papers" that can be defended in the workshop

The workshop is co-located with SPLC2, the Second Software Product Line Conference
http://www.sei.cmu.edu/SPLC2/

This workshop brings together researchers and practitioners who wish to debate and extend their ideas in the area of managing the extension and re-design of the architectures of software product families that they develop. This workshop builds on the experience of the organizers in conducting similar events in this area and on the results reached during

previous events:

ECOOP 2001 Workshop on Object-Oriented Architectural Evolution: Full workshop report is available from:
http://prog.vub.ac.be/OOAE/ECOOP2001/ECOOP2001-OOAE.html

The report located above summarises the debate, the positions reached and the issues raised in the above, very successful, workshop. Please read it if interested.

WICSA 2001 Workshop on Architectural Viewpoints: http://www.pithecanthropus.com/~awg/wicsa/

To optimize the exposition of participants' views and to maximize interaction, the workshop adopts a question-and-answer style, whereby a number of questions concerning the area of the architectural evolution of product families are proposed. We invite participants to submit well-reasoned answers to at least two of the questions. For details on the questions and the desired format of the answers please see the workshop web page at
