Belief revision techniques are used to model changes in perception and understanding; a crucial capability in decision making.

Presentation at the IP Scholars Conference @ the Cardozo School of Law New York on Intellectual Property Rights and Collaborative Innovation.

Innovation is the basis of value creation in business today and IP law plays a crucial and influential role in driving innovation activities at both the strategic and operational levels of organisations. Innovation has evolved from an activity based on building competitive advantage within a single organisation to leverging off collaborative advantage in a rich ecosystem of partners, prosumers, competitors, and academia. I will discuss the key strengths and weaknesses of existing IP law in the context of collaborative innovation, and identify crucial areas of opportunity and tension between sharing knowledge, promulgating innovation and the management of intellectual rights in the quest to achieve effective collaborative advantage.

We joined forces with the University of Science and Technology China to create a new Robot Soccer Team WrightEagle Unleashed! which recently competed at the Robot Soccer Championship in China. The team topped its round robin group (scoring 22 goals, conceding 0) and made it to the Finals. Check us out on Chinese TV.
