1998-2003

Funded by the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council of the UK

COSTART was concerned with creative practice, collaboration and digital technology. Studies of the processes by which artists developed digital systems and tools in collaboration with technologists were carried out. The methodology was practice-based case study research. The outcomes are significant contributions to the emerging research area of computation and creativity and range from research findings to exhibitions of creative digital works.
